CINEMATIC AND FILM ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER IN SCOTLAND
My best friend once called me the best photographer with zero marketing skills he knows.
This says a lot about me. As an introvert, it's my biggest challenge to put myself into the spotlight and sell myself as an elopement photographer. I still believe my photos and client reviews are a huge part of selling my services to the right people. I'm not following trends. I'm a simple guy with a lifelong passion for photography, and I keep myself and my work as authentic as possible.
I focus on my couples and make sure they get the best elopement experience in Scotland.
Hiya! I'm Laszlo aka WEIRDIE GRIZZLY specialzed in helping couples in love elope to Scotland.
If you want a lifetime Scottish elopement experience, timeless, beautiful photos and no stress at all, then you you’re in the right place!
Weirdie Grizzly is my nickname and these two words characterize me pretty well.
Weirdie ... I like to think outside the box. Different from most of the others - in the good way.
Like, I do not have a TV.
I rather go into the Scottish wilderness to wandering, hiking, wild-camping, fishing or just sitting somewhere deep in the forest and enjoy the silence of nature.
Grizzly ... Well, let’s arrange a meeting with me and you will see it.
A few facts about Weirdie Grizzly
I am a happy dad of a beautiful daughter called Emma and a teenager boy, Akos.
I love to laugh at myself and be self-ironic.
I love analogue (film) photography and use it daily for my projects and elopement works.
I'm not only using it but also a collector of film cameras, mainly on a sentimental basis.
I love to discover Scottish rivers, lochs, and glens. I often wander and go wild camping in the Scottish Highlands and Isles.
I love woollen jumpers and Beanie hats.
I love to cook for my loved ones.
I love poppy seed and everything that made with like Poppy seed roll, Hungarian Poppy Seed Bread Pudding.
I've got a higher diploma in Photography and social work, including 4 years of study in Psychology.
I drink only water.
I love classical, heavy metal and alt rock music (Chopin, Therion, The Gathering, Metallica, The Smashing Pumpkins, and many more).
My favourite color is orange, and I always wear something in that color.
Currently, I'm building a camper van to be my mobile office when I'm working on elopements across Scotland.
I am not a frequent buyer as I use my stuff until last. I still use my 8 years old mobile, many 50+ years old cameras.
I like to buy second-hand things. I think reducing my footprint on the beautiful planet Earth is essential.
I don't watch TV, listen to adverts on the radio or read newspapers.
I worked as a private tour guide in Scotland.

ISLE OF SKYE ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER
I am so happy and thankful for you to found me and you show interest about my work.
I’m a Scottish Highlands based elopement photographer. The breathtaking scenery of Scotland is a huge inspiration for my photography work. I capture your emotions to make you experience those feelings again and again when looking at them.
My aim is to tell the story of your love and laughter through images that are timeless. I believe in storytelling through details, emotional portraits, and finding those intimate moments during your Scotland elopement day experience.
HOW I BECAME AN ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRPAHER IN SCOTLAND?
Where and when have all begun?
When I dropped a camera - first time - at the age of 6 in Dresden, (East) Germany. That was my very first lesson about photography. A good few years passed and photography -creating memories using the light- became my very strong passion. I moved to Scotland from Hungary in 2007 and later I started to work as a commercial then a wedding photographer. Around two years ago I realized the big fancy traditional weddings are not my kind of stuff to work on. So I created Weirdie Grizzly and started focusing only adventure elopement - intimate wedding and couple photography.
Everything else is history now. :)
