Do You Photograph LGBTQ+ Elopements and Couples?
Absolutely, YES. Love is love—always.
It may seem wild to still be answering this in 2025, but it’s an important question—and my answer is a wholehearted YES. I’m a proud LGBTQ+-affirming elopement photographer who celebrates love in all its beautiful forms.
Whether you’re a same-sex couple, non-binary partners, or anywhere on the spectrum, know that you’re safe, seen, and celebrated here. Adventure and love are for everyone, and I’m honored to help you tell your story with authenticity, respect, and joy.
Can we legally get married and do we need witnesses for our Scotland elopement?
Yes. Scotland is one of the only places in the world where legal outdoor marriage ceremonies are allowed almost anywhere. As long as your celebrant agrees and it’s safe, you can marry on a mountain, beside a waterfall, on a cliff edge, or on a quiet island beach.
Scotland requires two witnesses for a legal marriage.
If you’re eloping just the two of you, I can organise witnesses or act as one myself, depending on your ceremony location and timeline.
How far in advance should we book our elopement photographer?
Most couples book 6–12 months in advance, especially for popular locations like Glencoe and Skye.
Last-minute and weekday elopements are often possible — just reach out to check availability.
Can we bring guests to our elopement?
Yes — Scotland elopements often include up to 10–16 guests.
Whether you want a private two-person elopement or a small, intimate wedding, I’ll help you choose a location that works beautifully for your group.
What Happens If the Weather is Bad on Our Elopement Day?
Great question—and welcome to Scotland, where “bad” weather is often breathtaking. Rain, wind, mist, and dramatic clouds are part of what makes the Highlands so magical, and they often create the most cinematic, atmospheric photos. I encourage couples to embrace the wild Scottish elements—they become a beautiful part of your story.
Of course, if the weather becomes truly unsafe, with severe storms, road closures, or conditions that risk your comfort or equipment, we’ll adjust the plan or reschedule as needed. Your safety and experience always come first.
Bonus: A touch of rain can look absolutely enchanting in photos, adding a fairytale feel to your elopement.
What does it cost to elope in Scotland with you?
Film photography packages start at £3200, with most couples investing around £5200 for the full experience.
All travel, VAT, film development, and photographer expenses are covered.
